Farmstay

If you love trees and forests and secluded camping, this little serene part of the world is perfect for you. Even during the rain, the location was absolutely beautiful, hearing the thunder roll through and the rain on our glamping tent was so lovely. So can you imagine when the sun's out, seeping through the trees? With their refreshing hospitality, fast communication, super accommodating and warm welcomes, hosts Chris and Madeline were amazing and we had the pleasure of meeting Kai, one of their friendly dogs. Being only an hour away from Sydney, it's most certainly an unforgettable spot that I highly recommend visiting.

Our stay here was amazing!!! Chris and Madeline are wonderful hosts, giving us as much privacy as wanted but also the comfort of having them around for helpful tips there are so many beautiful touches to the place- like the hand made huge love heart statue with fairy lights, the fire pit, the walk in wardrobe and kitchenette, the picnic blanket, bbq area, (I could go on!) And letting us basically adopt the puppies for the weekend was soooo good! thoroughly recommend staying here! Picturesque, serene, quiet, and a great way to reconnect with nature. The pecans are also yummy!

Chris and Madeleine's place is gorgeous - secluded, peaceful and very thoughtfully put together. The orchard is stunning, and the guest room is clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. Perfect for singles, couples, dog lovers (Kai and Curie are the sweetest and most gentle of companions) and anyone seeking a bit of solitude (the room is attached to Chris and Madeleine's own house but feels very private and tucked away). Chris is very communicative and even though I didn't want for anything during my stay I knew that if I needed anything or had any questions he'd be right on it. Highly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights in this amazing place and we enjoyed everything, it was perfect! The orchard is stunning, we were in the middle of the nature, we saw deers, parrots, ducks, rabbits around the farm. The cabin is in from of the dam and was super nice wake up with this view! The room was sparkling and you can enjoy the Lavazza Coffee and the fresh pecans from the farm! We used the BBQ and we had breakfast and dinner in our porch. Chris and Madeline are SUPER HOST! The communication was clear and punctual. We had good time together in front of the firepit! They have two lovely dogs, Curie and Kai and we played with them. Was a unique experience! This is a maaaagical spot. About an hour from Sydney, but feels a million miles away. The pecan orchard is breathtaking – we picnicked there all afternoon until sunset, and wandered around watching the sun come up with Kai the dog showing us around. The dam is beautiful, with ducks pottering about and it's great to lay in the sun on the dock and listen to the birds and the wind in the trees. Chris and Madeline are such nice hosts, really relaxed and very helpful with anything you need. The dogs... well, Kai and Curie are a bonus, they made our stay extra fun. Especially enjoyed getting a fire going in the evening. Rustic, peaceful, and just a delight all around. Great for couples looking for a break from the hustle and bustle and a romantic getaway.

To say the stay was amazing is an understatement. Great value for money, nothing was an issue and highly accommodating. They thought of everything when it comes to short stays, we packed some little pantylry items like salt, pepper sugar and milk which wasn't necessary. we were pleasently surprised to find the bar fridge had been upgraded to a full sized fridge in the walk in robe, so fridge space was not an issue. it was spacious, a little spot of paradise and the fire pit is an excellent idea. we were sad to go, but until next time!!

Chris and Madeline were exceptional hosts and their pecan farm was absolutely stunning. It was the perfect weekend getaway from Sydney. We admired the trees and had visits from deer, cockatoos, rabbits and ducks (and their two gorgeous dogs!) Waking up to the views of their lake covered in mist was something out of a dream, and the complimentary pecans were a treat. Thank you both - we highly recommend!
